Matthew Olay

Matthew Olay is a U.S. Navy veteran with a combined fourteen years of service between his time spent on active duty and in the reserve. While in uniform, Matt is a Chief Mass Communication Specialist with a background in photojournalism and video news reporting. In the civilian world, he works within the criminal justice system in San Diego. He holds a BA in theater from UCLA.

The oldest and youngest Seabees, Retired Master Chief Equipmentman Jim Daniels, right, and Constructionman Recruit Colin Ryniec, assigned to Naval Construction Training Center, cut a cake with Maj. Gen. Daniel O’Donohue, commanding general, 1st Marine Division, during the 75th Annual Seabee Ball at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
