An Army staff sergeant with the Mississippi Army National Guard has been charged in his wife's murder, after police found her shot to death on Sunday night.
- According to the local newspaper in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the Hattiesburg American, deputies responded to a call from one of three children in the home of Staff Sgt. Percy Harris on Sunday saying his parents were arguing.
- When the deputies arrived to the house, the child told them that "he thought he heard a gunshot while he was waiting," the Hattiesburg American reports.
- Harris, 33, was then taken into custody when the deputies found his wife dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
- According to the Associated Press, Harris is currently being held without bond.
