Right now, there are plenty of companies that are actively seeking candidates for open positions, which means that now is the time to step up your search for a job. While the same basic points should be remembered for job searches throughout the year, such as having a great resume and utilizing the Internet to find open positions, there are some other things that you can do to give yourself the cutting edge over the competition in the job market.

Take the opportunity to refine your resume, revise your cover letter and interview skills, and to continue doing research on the industries and the companies that interest you the most.
