Dan Sheehan is the author of the award winning memoir "After Action: The True Story of a Cobra Pilot's Journey." He spent 12 years in the Marine Corps and served two combat tours in Iraq during 2003 and 2004. When not writing, flying helicopters, or struggling to understand his kids' math homework, Dan can usually be found spearfishing in the kelp beds off southern California. His second book, "Continuing Actions: A Warrior's Guide to Coming Home" will be released late summer, 2015.
Benjamin Franklin nailed it when he said, "Fatigue is the best pillow." True story, Benny. There's nothing like pushing your body so far past exhaustion that you'd willingly, even longingly, take a nap on a concrete slab.
