J.D. Hodges is a South Carolina native currently living in San Diego, California. After serving in the South Carolina Air National Guard and then the active duty Marine Corps, he transitioned to the Marine reserves where he is currently serving. He is now a student at San Diego State University majoring in journalism.

As a student at San Diego State University, it would be easy to come here, go through the motions for four years, get your degree, and move on. However, if you are a veteran --- and this is a great school for veterans --- you would be wasting a great opportunity to get involved with the student veterans organization, which represents the almost 1,000 veterans who comprise the total student body.
When you make the decision to get out of the military and go to school, the amount of questions you have can be overwhelming. It’s hard to know where to start or what to ask. With that in mind, here are some questions to ask when considering potential schools.
