Mike graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in marketing and advertising. Following his dream of working in sports media, he cut his teeth at the YES Network and MSG Network before landing at the ad agency MediaVest. After a stint on Wall Street as a commodity trader, he came back to media as an account executive for Maxim and now heads up the Ad Sales and Partnership division for Task & Purpose.
There may be no better indicator of affection than a nickname. As Americans, we nickname politicians, celebrities, and family members, but we may not like to nickname any group more than sports stars. Maybe it’s the media or mainstream marketing, but we love nicknaming athletes.
