Barcelona-based engineer Sergi Santos’ created Samantha, a life-size doll, to perform sex, but she also has artificial intelligence that makes her react to different touches with emotional responses. Imagine Amazon’s Alexa, but with a body (and dead eyes).

If you touch Samantha’s hands tenderly, she’ll say things like “I love this,” while other body parts trigger… different responses.

But she isn't easy. Samantha, by design, will not give you the kind of sexy response you might desire unless she is properly romanced first.

According to Digital Trends, Santos hopes Samantha will one day evolve from a robot into a more human companion. She could be yours for $6,500 to $12,000, depending on how you’d like to personalize your e-mate. In the meantime, you can save yourself some money by just being nice to actual, living women IRL.
