Officials notified Billy Hurley III at the Quicken Loans National PGA tournament that his Dad was located at a public library in Texas watching him play golf as he walked off the 18th hole yesterday.

A person recognized Mr. Hurley Jr. from the media coverage of his disappearance 13 days ago from his home in Virginia and contacted the police. Billy Hurley spoke with reporters today to thank the public for their help for finding his Dad.

He stated, “we just want to say thank you very much for helping us find him – the public, the law enforcement, all the media throughout the country.” He also went on to answer reporters’ questions about his dad and commented, “we will not speculate on what occurred at this time.”

Billy made the cut after an impressive score on the back 9 and sinking a four-footer par on the final 18th hole. Hurley will tee off tomorrow morning at 8:41 a.m. and MilitaryOneClick will be tweeting live from @military1click.

“I just want to say thank you – he would not have been found without the help of the PGA tour, the Golf Channel, the greater golf media and all the articles, all the TV spots were run, just thank you, so much for helping us find my father. We don’t know what comes next at this point, just wanted to say thank you very much…my family and I are incredible appreciative…”

When the reporter asked Hurley if there is something you want to say to your Dad – he replied, “Dad I love you and we want you to come home – that’s the bottom line – we just want you to come home.”
