There comes a time in everyone’s life to start over, to pursue a fresh start. That fresh start could come in the form of retirement or separation from the military. It could come when you find yourself with an empty nest as the last child heads off to face their life. It could be due to unfortunate circumstances like divorce or death. Whatever the reason is, the time comes for all of us to pursue that fresh start.

Starting over is scary, and it’s never an easy thing to do. But it is almost always a necessary part of life. So, what do you do when life tells you that it is time to start over? How do you manage all the fear, anxiety, and stress that goes along with it?

Sit down and create a plan of what you want your fresh start to look like. Write down your goals, and your dreams. Then write down everything you need to do in order to meet those goals and fulfill those dreams.

– Breathe:

Take some deep breaths. This is a difficult time, change always is. Make sure you take the time to breathe, and help relieve some of that anxiety you are for sure feeling deep down. It is important to take care of yourself during this stressful time, or you will become overwhelmed.
