Fall is not a time where people usually think too much about travel. Kids are going back to school, the weather is growing colder, etc. However, there are some places right here in the U.S. that are fantastic to visit during the fall months.

Here are a few of my ideas for some fun fall travel:

– Leaf Peeping in New England: The leaves changing colors in the fall in New England is an experience like no other! Head on up there, get a room at a cozy B&B and marvel at the incredible painted landscapes up there.

– Salem, Massachusetts: If you know US history, then you know about Salem and the witch trials. This is a great little town to visit any time of year. However, if you are a lover of all things Halloween, then make a point to go in October! It is an experience of a lifetime! The whole town gets into the Halloween season.

– The Beach: I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. If you go to beach places like Florida or Southern California in the fall as opposed to the summer, you will be contending with a lot less people and still have plenty of great beach weather.

– Cities in the South: Why not check out cities like New Orleans in the fall? Again, less people, and the weather is much cooler so it’s easier to really enjoy those amazing cities.

What are your favorite places to visit in the fall?
