Celebrating Military Moms and children at The White House tea

On Thursday May 10th, I went to The White House for a military mother’s day tea.  First I got let in to a BIG room, where I could have orange juice, cranberry juice, or water. Next I got an invitation that said I will sit at table #14.  Once I sat down I ate my Bo cookie.  Bo is The President’s dog. Then I choose my sandwich but I took the tuna out and just ate the tuna. When my tea was ready, I put 1 cube of sugar and 1 spoon of honey. The tea, cookie, and the tuna were so good!  After that Griffin and I went into the craft room.  First we made tea that you can’t buy in stores! The tea had: 2 dried oranges, 12 dried blueberries, green rice, and a honey stick.

Next I picked out a pot.  My pot is purple with a pink ribbon on it.  I put an orange rose, pink rose, and a lily.  Then I choose a card with a purple border. In the card I said I love you! You are the best!  And on the cover I drew 2 hearts. Next I made cookies.  I choose a cinnamon base.  I used pink cookie dough and a heart shaped cookie cutter to make 3 pink hearts.  Last I cut out a blue circle to put in the middle. Finally I put the cookie in a bag and gave all the crafts to my mom for mother’s day.  Then my mom gave her speech and introduced The First Lady!  She did a great job!
