Tools for Buying or Selling a Home

  • Home Depot Foundation
    is offering to conduct work projects on military members’ personal homes. They will provide the materials, labor and contractors. Projects will include repairs and installations. Members with priority include: wounded warriors returning from combat & disabled veterans, members returning from deployment, members with special needs (either themselves or family members).
  • Homeowners Assistance Program (HAP)
    assists eligible homeowners facing financial loss when selling their primary residence due to a base closure or realignment announcement.
    is a financial resource portal for active duty military personnel and non-active duty military veterans. We specialize in providing information for veterans who are in need of the following types of loan services: No Down-payment Mortgage Loans, Mortgage Refinance Loans, Home Equity Loans, Personal Non-Mortgage Backed Loan and Auto Loans.   • Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3)
    aims to replace the widely varying policies affecting transitioning military students. The compact leverages consistency: It uses a comprehensive approach that provides a consistent policy in every school district and in every state that chooses to join. The compact addresses key educational transition issues encountered by military families including enrollment, placement, attendance, eligibility and graduation.
  • Military K-12 Partners
    DoDEA’s Partnership program provides information and support to increase understanding of the unique needs of military children as well as academic support to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for military children.
  • Military Town Advisor
    a PCS relocation resource where military families write reviews about neighborhoods, apartment complexes and schools in military towns near U.S bases. Created by a military spouse for military families.
  • Public School Review
    lets you find free, detailed profiles of public schools and their surrounding communities.

  • Pre-K Smarties

Resources in Your Community

  • Community Walk
    allows you to make your own map by plotting different places to measure the distance. It works great for planning a walking route or trying to find out the closest grocery/school from your new house during a PCS.
  • Find a Dentist through MetLife TDP
    MetLife’s online directory of Dental PPO dentists is updated weekly and will indicate if the dentist is accepting new patients. When calling for any dentist appointment, be sure to ask if the dentist who will be treating you participates in the MetLife Preferred Dentist Provider (PDP) Network. Find a Dentist Near You
    is a FREE app for military folks! Whether you’re trying to find out how late the gym is open, what movie is playing at your base theater, or trying to book a room for your upcoming TAD orders is there to help.
  • Pet Care & Veterinary Treatment Facilities (VTFs)
    Animals owned by personnel authorized DoD medical care may receive veterinary medical care through an Army Veterinary Treatment Facility. The level of veterinary medical care available through each facility is dependent upon the level of professional and civilian staffing. See the VTF Map to find a facility near you.
