Planning. Planning too much and planning too little. We found out that planning is key to a successful trip with two opinionated adults and three energetic children.  Our family road trip was super memorable and a huge success with only minor hiccups along the way.

LQ Moab, UtahLet’s start out with a huge positive shout out to La Quinta Inns & Suites.  We found out on this trip that Moab, Utah is where it is at!  This LQ is conveniently located near the spectacular,  under-rated Canyonlands National Park and the architecturally miracle filled Arches National Park.  LQ-Moab is seated right beside a gargantuus red rock.  The lobby is filled with spectacular photos capturing the beautiful images of the nearby National Parks.  The delicious and substantial hot and cold breakfast had a variety of choices to sustain those setting out to do Moab’s variety of outdoor activities.

Mitchell and Miguel were the front desk attendants during our stay in Moab.  Both were curtious, kind, and knowledgeable about the property’s amenities.  Mitchell checked us in, gave us our keys in the military appreciation sleeve,  and thanked us for our service. Mitchell informed us that there was a pool and a playground that our children might enjoy after being on a long car ride.  Miguel helped us with laundry coins, soap, and laundry room location.  Miguel also checked us out, thanked us for our loyalty, and wished us a happy and safe journey.

All in all, we are so glad that we researched and planned this trip using to stop in Moab, Utah. La QuintaLQ Appreciation Sleeve Inns & Suites made it so we had comfortable beds, a hot meal to start the day, and place we felt comfortable and safe to relax after long days in the National Parks.  We would recommend this LQ hotel to all of our military friends planning a family road trip before a major PSC.
