Have you ever met someone in the military and veteran community who knows how to find that perfect resource for you or someone you know?  That’s Rose Holland, our amazing MilitaryOneClick volunteer and Army spouse.

Since January 2012, Rose has been our incredible volunteer organizing and running our monthly Charity Challenge non-profit program, as well as being known as, Rose the Resource Hound.

Rose was working for Military One Source when she first met Jen Pilcher, founder of MilitaryOneClick. Rose and Jen hit it off and Rose volunteered to help build out the MilitaryOneClick Charity Challenge program.  Rose reached out directly to charities in the military community to invite them to participate in the monthly fun competition, giving the charity a chance to have exposure to the MOC community and a chance to win the monthly monetary donation.

“We have received hundreds of thank-you notes from charities for their participation in our Charity Challenge, but all of the credit goes to Rose,” said Pilcher. “They all know and love Rose.”

After working with Military One Source, Rose continued her professional career working with Army Community Service. During this time, Rose continued to connect MilitaryOneClick with vetted 501 3c military and veteran organizations and build the Charity Challenge program, while helping ACS with career transition programs for active duty members and spouses.

Over the course of her time on the team, Rose has personally worked with well over 100 military non-profits and connected so many people in our community to the resources they need. Rose also volunteered with MilitaryOneClick at hiring fairs as well as our new MilspouseFEST in San Diego.

“Rose has a special calling as a volunteer,” said Danya Devine who has worked with Rose for the past three years.  Barb Harpuder, who has also worked with Rose since she started, said, “Thank you for answering all of the questions we get from the support email looking for resources and the Charity Challenge has been such a huge hit because of you!”

Rose continues to climb the professional ladder and is taking a little time off from MilitaryOneClick to concentrate on her career and family.

Thank you, Rose: Our first and faithful volunteer

“We are so grateful for her time, dedication and resource’s she has brought to so many.  Rose exemplifies a dedicated military spouse, mom, volunteer and career woman.  We are lucky to have worked with her,” said Pilcher.

Rose the Resource Hound will always be a part of our MilitaryOneClick family and we wish her the best.

Thank you, Rose!
