Afghan Military Reports ISIS Recruiting In Helmand Province

The Afghan army is reporting that ISIS may be actively recruiting in Helmand province, Afghanistan. A man by the name of Mullah Abdul Rauf is reportedly leading the effort, taking down the white flags of the Taliban and replacing them with the black flags of ISIS. There are scattered reports that ISIS elements have been battling with members of the Taliban, though these have not yet been confirmed.

A former member of the Taliban, with a small cadre of soldiers – Rauf served as a shadow governor in Uruzgan province and now it seems he’s offering his “services” to ISIS.
