Staff Sergeant Ronald J. Ouellette, 23, of Merrimack, New Hampshire, died Monday in a single all-terrain-vehicle non-combat related accident on the flightline at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, the Pentagon wrote in a press release on Wednesday. Ouellette was a member of the 42nd Aerial Port Squadron based at Westover Air Reserve Base in Massachusetts. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, DoD wrote. Ouellette died two days after [Senior Airman Jason Khai Phan](), a 26-year-old from Anaheim, California, was killed in a single-vehicle accident while patrolling outside the perimeter of Ali Al Salem. Phan had served with the 66th Security Forces Squadron at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts since October 2018, the Air Force said. He was deployed with the 386 Air Expeditionary Wing’s 386 Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, and had been in Kuwait since July.
