The Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman the contract to build the next generation long-range strike bomber, which people currently are calling the “B-3.” The new aircraft, which will be fielded in the next 10 years, can fly deep into hostile areas, undetected.

This bomber will have a number of innovative technologies and next-generation capabilities that are cloaked in secrecy. It may even withstand nuclear weapon-generated electromagnetic pulses and still operate.

Northrop Grumman CEO Wes Bush said in a statement, “As the company that developed and delivered the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber, we look forward to providing the Air Force with a highly-capable and affordable next-generation Long-Range Strike Bomber.”
