On March 18, the Department of Labor announced that the jobless rate for post-9/11 veterans was down to 7.2% in 2014 — a 1.8% improvement from the year prior — however, the unemployment rate for the newest generation of veterans remains higher for than veterans from previous wars. In response, the Wall Street Journal created a list laying out the five key employment disparities between veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan and those of previous wars.
