Late last month Activision's Infinity Ward dropped a teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — a soft-reboot of one of it's most beloved games — and just two weeks after the May 30 reveal, the game developer unveiled some new details on what's in store for the first-person shooter's multiplayer: Juggernaut and ghillie suits!
More than a decade after Activision's Infinity Ward launched Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it still stands up. From the frenetic gunplay, to its compelling characters and expansive campaign, the 2007 first person shooter remains engaging and thoroughly enjoyable — hell, for old time's sake, I took a break from writing this just so I could hop on single player and insert onto a cargo ship where I laid waste to a bunch of hijackers and arms smugglers.
Spring is here, along with plans for road trips and getaways on those few precious three and four-day weekends that come with federal holidays. As everyone else funnels off base or packs before an early morning departure, you can’t help but think: Bye, suckers.
If you’re an adult and make solid choices, then your game of choice is coming from the Call Of Duty franchise. Ever since the original Call of Duty blew my mind all the way back to World War 2 nearly 15 years ago, the series only gets better with each passing installment.
