Benjamin Franklin nailed it when he said, "Fatigue is the best pillow." True story, Benny. There's nothing like pushing your body so far past exhaustion that you'd willingly, even longingly, take a nap on a concrete slab.
One thing about Afghanistan that I miss is the food. Not the chow hall food. I don't miss it. Not by a long shot. Your average Nigerian or Albanian KBR worker doesn't quite understand American food enough to take it beyond adequate. I'm talking the Afghan food. It was tremendous.
