No, they did. It’s fucking awesome. https://www.instagram.com/p/9EGBdPQM8\_ The XM556 Microgun was designed by [Empty Shell LLC](), a small Texas-based company composed of former law enforcement and military members, says Jeff Pitts, one of the group's managing members. The Microgun looks like a significantly smaller version of its big brother, the M134 minigun. You may recognize it: According to the group’s website, the electrically driven Microgun offers four times the rate of fire as other belt-fed weapons systems. The 16-pound little monster is just 22 inches long and fires between 2,000 and 4,000 rounds per minute. https://www.instagram.com/p/8x6zU9wM-7 It’s not only compact, it’s also fully functional. “We could've half assed it and put it out a year ago, but we tested and designed it, so that when you push the trigger it works,” said Pitts in an interview with Task & Purpose.
