COMIC: The Ultimate Sacrifice Made By 2 Marines In Ramadi

Task & Purpose is very proud to introduce its first original comic, created by our director of multimedia & design, Matt Battaglia.

On April 22, 2008, in Ramadi, Iraq, two Marine infantrymen stood their ground and opened fire on a truck carrying 2,000 pounds of explosives as it barreled toward their post and the 150 Marines and Iraqi police inside the perimeter.

This is the story of Lance Cpl. Jordan Haerter and Cpl. Jonathan Yale's brave sacrifice, as relayed by Marine Corps Gen. John Kelly during a speech at the Semper Fi Society of St. Louis on Nov. 13, 2010.

As General Kelly said, these are the kind of people who are on watch all over the world tonight.
