Justin Ford is the Organizing Director of the Truman National Security Project. In this role, his responsibilities include building and maintaining a national leadership structure, overseeing the execution of Truman’s advocacy and organizing tactics, developing and managing a comprehensive training and professional development program for Truman Members and allied organizations, and the overall Truman Member experience. He formerly worked with Truman and founded the Defense Council, during which time he also served as the President of VET PAC. Justin previously led the development and launch of Dog Tag Bakery, a startup nonprofit business for veterans with disabilities. He managed the business side of the organization and lead Dog Tag’s students through a hands-on entrepreneurship-focused business rotation. Before transitioning into social entrepreneurship, Justin worked in Florida politics after having served in the U.S. Army as an Airborne Combat Engineer. During the Kosovo conflict, he participated in NATO peacekeeping missions and later served as a non-commissioned officer during the first year of the Iraq War.
