I am a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Army (six years enlisted and six years officer). I am currently a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving in the Foreign Area Officer Corps as a European region specialist, with a focus on Russia and Eastern Europe. I am currently on a fellowship, studying international policy at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. I have served most of my time, enlisted and officer, in Special Operations units, deploying multiple times to central Asia, Southeast Asia, and North Asia.
