It probably isn’t a good sign when the global political situation is such that the September issue of ARMY magazine is offering some of the most astute analysis out there.
“The consequences of globalization have created both winners—those integrated into the global network and benefitting from that integration, and losers—those who, though fully aware of the process of integration, cannot integrate and so are cut off from its benefits.” So writes retired Army Lt. Gen. James Dubik.
He’s right. He doesn’t say so, but this also goes a long way toward explaining our domestic political situation.
