The Department of Defense is building a 30-person team of medical specialists at Fort Sam Houston in Texas, which will deploy anywhere in the United States within 72 hours to train and assist medical personnel responding to Ebola cases. The team consists of 15 soldiers, nine sailors, and six airmen.

On Tuesday, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey addressed troops in a YouTube video, saying, “We are doing what we do best—leveraging our unique capabilities to support the international and the U.S. effort in response to this crisis.”
