More than 20 tapes released after a Freedom of Information Act request reveal a trove of conversations secretly recorded by President Ronald Reagan in the White House situation room.

One tape contained an apology from Reagan to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher for not warning her about the 1983 invasion of the Caribbean island nation of Grenada, after a Marxist coup toppled the government there. Grenada is part of the British Commonwealth of Nations.
