Kirstie Ennis was just starting her service in the Marines Corps when a helicopter crash in Afghanistan took her leg. Growing up in a military family, Kirstie always knew she was going to serve, and she planned to spend her career in the military. The crash disrupted her plans, but instead of slowing her down, the accident fueled her to do more on one leg than she ever dreamed of doing on two. Kirstie went on to become a Paralympic snowboarder, a Hollywood stuntwoman, and even climbed the south summit of Mt. Everest.
