WIESBADEN, Germany — About 1,500 soldiers from Fort Bliss arrived in Europe on Tuesday to illustrate the Army's ability to rapidly alert, recall and deploy under emergency conditions.
The soldiers from the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, arrived in Berlin, Germany, before traveling to the Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area in Poland. As part of their exercises in Poland, the soldiers will use more than 700 pieces of equipment pulled from the Army Prepositioned Stock site in Eygelshoven, Netherlands.
The 1st Armored Division's public affairs office said the Dynamic Force Employment exercise “makes our activities unpredictable to potential adversaries and provides a clear signal of commitment to NATO while maintaining strategic predictability for our NATO allies and partners.”
The exercise will include live-fire training with Polish military forces over the next several weeks. The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team will return to Fort Bliss when the exercises are complete.
