The year is 2020 and the Islamic State is launching a full-fledged invasion of Europe from North Africa, which is now completely under its control. Your mission: Kill. Kill them all.
If that sounds like the wet dream of someone who relishes violence and also perceives the rise of radical Islam as an existential threat to the European continent, that’s because it sort of is. It’s also a new video game.
The game, called “IS Defense,” is the latest offering from Destructive Creations, a Polish studio that drew flak in 2014 when CEO Jarosław Zieliński declared support for an anti-Islamic organization called the “Polish Defence League.”

In an interview with Motherboard, Zieliński rejected suggestions that he’s anti-Islamic. He did, however, identify as a Polish nationalist, saying, “There’s nothing wrong about being being patriotic and dedicated to take care of your people and culture.”
And on the topic of Europe’s worsening migrant crisis: “I don’t believe in the positive intentions of most of these ‘refugees.’ Most of them are coming to Europe to live as lazy-ass social funding suckers.”
In 2014, Destructive Creations released “Hatred,” a game Motherboard aptly labeled a “mass murder simulator” in which players roam the streets of New York killing innocent people and police officers in an attempt to “spread Armageddon upon society.”
“IS Defense” appears to be no less apocalyptic. As a NATO machine-gun operator, the player’s sole mission is to mow down a never-ending horde of ISIS militants as they storm the beaches of Europe, which the trailer’s narrator proudly refers to as “the old continent.”
“This game is our small side-project and is our personal veto against what is happening in the Middle East nowadays,” reads the game’s website.
If this is what the year 2020 has in store for us, well, shit. So much for retirement. At least there’s no shortage of ammo.
