The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is investigating a 24-year-old male second class petty officer who is accused of secretly making and distributing videos of female sailors aboard the ballistic missile submarine USS Wyoming. According to a Nov. 14 incident report, the videos show at least three female officers showering or undressing in recordings taken for over more than a year, Military Times reported.
Lt. Leslie Hubbell, spokeswoman for Submarine Group 10 in Kings Bay, said the incident report that led to the investigation was filed after an officer on a different submarine received the videos.
According to Hubbell, at least one the victims is upset with leadership’s handling of the case because it's been filed as a privacy violation. However, this is more a case of sexual harassment.
