While the debate over women in combat appears to have reached a standstill about whether or not to change physical standards, the deadline for integrating women into positions formerly restricted to men remains in place.

It seems as if people have not only forgotten that the clock is still ticking, but that the military's current physical standards are out of touch with the realities of modern warfare.
