Rest In Peace Roger Birkman: WWII Aviator, Psychologist, Creator Of Revolutionary Career Assessment

The creator of the Birkman Career Assessment, Dr. Roger Birkman, died early this morning in his home. He was 95 years old.

A former B-17 bomber pilot and pilot instructor in World War II, Birkman founded Birkman International. A keystone of the company’s focus was the Birkman Career Assessment, a unique method to determine a user’s behavioral strengths, motivations, expectations, stress behavior, and career profiles.

“The reality of life is that your perceptions ― right or wrong ― influence everything else you do. When you gain a proper perspective, you will be surprised how much falls into place,” Birkman once said of his assessment.

Birkman’s revolutionary assessment has been used by countless key companies, and is a key part of Hirepurpose’s efforts to match veterans with America’s top companies.

A release from the Birkman organization says that Birkman “passed peacefully and calmly in his sleep.”
