I was very hesitant to write this post, lest I contribute to George Zimmerman’s victimhood, but he said something really dumb in an interview with Fusion set to air tonight, and I wanted to weigh in.
When asked if he considers himself to be a victim, Zimmerman replies “Absolutely” and goes on to say that Florida Gov. Rick Scott “shredded the Constitution, and spit in the face of all our fallen soldiers.”
Trying rationalize Zimmerman’s thoughts is an exhausting and scary adventure, but as best I can tell, he believes that the fact that he faced trial for shooting and killing an unarmed teenager was somehow unconstitutional and spit in the face of our fallen troops.
